I don’t think I’ve mentioned it yet, but after a decade in the states, my friend Anuj, who I love like a brother, is moving back to India in early May.

Now that we’re resigned to the fact that he is indeed leaving us, there will be many farewell gatherings in his honor.

Here are some photos from the first sendoff. We started with a Mediterranean dinner at Dish Dash, followed by drinks and dancing at Straits. Unfortunately, the darn place shuts down at midnight, so we headed to Tinker’s Damn, a nearby gay bar, to continue our revelry. TD’s was pretty empty, so we were able to be as obnoxious as we liked.

It was a great night!

A couple weekends ago, I attended Liza’s bridal shower. I’ve been telling people that it was my first, since I usually participate in bachelor activities, but it occurred to me the other day that I had been to one before (Hi Yesenia!). I don’t think I recalled it because it was so different from Liza’s.

Anyway, I was totally out of my comfort zone being in the company of so many women, but I had a nice time and met some really nice ladies.

For this month’s gorge, we headed back to the House of Prime Rib in the city. I thought the meal was fantastic, but I felt a little bad for Arnon and Elina, who had a salad and salmon, respectively.

Despite a reservation, we had to wait a long time for a table. So by the time dinner was over, we didn’t have much time or energy for drinking at a dive bar, and settled on cocktails at a trendier bar. It just wasn’t the same.

Still, it was great to see everyone, especially Sean, who drove down from Reno!

Next month, let’s go gorge on garlic crab!

By the way, Arnon ran over my foot that night with the car. How rude!
