Willie was in town recently so we had an impromptu reunion of former fourth floor residents at Houston in San Francisco. It was so good to see everyone!
One of my favorite restaurants is Bandera in Sacramento, so I was excited to learn that Houston and Bandera are sister restaurants. The filet mignon doused in garlic butter was fantastic.
Sean FINALLY came to the Bay area for Pride this year so we hung out in the Castro on Pink Saturday. We also had a nice dinner at Espetus, a Brazilian steakhous.

I’ve mentioned before how much I love Fogo de Chao, the famous Brazilian steakhouse that Beast introduced me to, but the closest one to me is in Beverly Hills. So I was excited about dining at Espetus, hoping it would be a good substitute for Fogo de Chao. Alas, it did not compare. They did, however, have Guarana Antarctica, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I look forward to October when Beast and I will celebrate our birthdays with a meat gorge at Fogo de Chao in Dallas.
